how to order

1. decide on a size.  Determine what size painting will work for you or if you have a specific wall where you would like to hang your portrait. I am also happy to help you determine what size and shape would best suit your four legged friend.

2. 50% deposit and signed commission agreement.
Once the size is determined, I will provide you with a commission agreement. A 50% deposit along with a signed commission agreement are required to reserve your spot in line. I accept personal and cashiers checks, as well as payments made through PayPal if you prefer to pay via credit or debit card.

3. gather photos and stories. The more photos and stories, the better. I love to be able to “get to know” your pet as best I can.
I work from your own snapshots and require enough photos to
gather a true sense of personality, color, etc. I will provide you
with a questionnaire about your pet for you to complete and turn in with your photos. I prefer to have your photos and questionnaire
no later than a month before I begin your portrait.

4. patiently wait! As of July 2010, I have about 20 paintings ahead of me, so your portrait will be delivered in December 2010, give or take a month. In order to capture that personality that we all love so much in our animals, I spend anywhere from 20 to well over 100 hours on a single portrait. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to predict how long any given portrait will take. I will contact you once I begin your portrait. However, you are always welcome to contact me with any questions you may have along the way!
